I went fishing in my boat & taken with me a mate 'Shane' tried for a Barrel, but got some nice Tuna anyway. Below are the Shimano TLD50 LRSA reels with Rapala 24-37kg rods, trolling Pakula skirted lures - We got a strike & Shane got the rod & played out a nice SBT, not a BIG Barrel, but still a nice fish regardless I hooked up & caught a nice SBT, great fighting + eating fish 'Happy Days'

Fished again today 'Solo' in conditions that i can only describe as a 'Washing Machine' i was tossed about for 3+ hours till i got tired of it. The ocean conditions in the video looks ok, but in reality it was crap conditions to be trolling in 'Rocka Rolla'- I later gone to my inshore marks & trolled for schoolie SBT's, but it was also slopy windy conditions 'No Luck' - Later after approx 5+ hrs of being tossed about, i headed back to port & home

I know what is this. Seems Santos Bay area. The first post, we had ok weather & got two nice SBT's as pictured, i tried to follow it up yesterday, on land the weather was calm & nice, out on the open ocean water it was a nightmare, the rough weather from previous days hadn't settled the ocean yet.

Forecasting was correct on the day, but forecasting doesn't take into account previous bad weather prior & the residual slop & unsettled swell / ocean conditions that must resettle. I use 'Willy Weather' - 'Click Here'. & 'Tides 4 Fishing' - 'Click Here'. very accurate -

Yesterday Wednesday '22-03-23' i fished with a mate out of my boat for BIG Tuna, set off @ sunrise trolling offshore @ Cape Nelson - The Tuna was jumping, the bait fish busting up, Dolphins & Seals working the bait fish, but the Tuna didn't take our lures - A few other boats hooked up & caught some Tuna - Every so often you will see another boat hooked up to a BIG Tuna - We noticed some other boats bait fishing for the Tuna by feeding their lines free spool down with Pilchards - We fished hard for 8+ hours with no BIG Tuna luck, maybe next time..
