Although many Australian Salmon were being caught several hundred metres away from boat fisho's, the Salmon weren't in casting range for me today. I was fishing with my old vintage first generation ABU 7000 c.1978 & custom made graphite / boron 12ft fishing rod that's over 30yrs old - I did hook one nice Salmon that i landed, but it slipped out of my hands & back into the water 'Nice to be fishing regardless'

Nice place with calm waters, no waves. My old rock point were so waved. Sometimes everybody got a nice shower.
I do have an old casting reel ABU too, two sections, and was the rod I primarily used that last fishing. Very good rod, may I say.

People say here when the waters are so calm, fish doesn't bite. Fish likes waters more messed, where the bottom is a little shaken and they can capture food.
