I fished in rough conditions today for King George Whiting, but none were biting, but the Australian Salmon were biting - Caught using Alvey SR100' spinning reels, UglyStik Carbon 4-7kg fishing rods - I caught several Rockie's 'Gurnard' which i released - End of day, i kept 15 Salmon & released several dozen's - I lost a really BIG Salmon, it jumped out the water shaking it's head & thrown the hook, it won it's freedom -

That Gunards seems have very dangerous thorns. These fish are very tasty to eat, but i throw them back. If you get spiked, you will wish you never did, as the pain is very extreme to the max..
