Some things people said me is very bad do in USA (or even against the law):
1- Alcohol for minors
In Brazil too. But minor here in Brazil is less than 18 years old. There is 21.
2- Say "I want ..." when you ask for something to buy/eat/drink...
In portuguese, to say "Eu quero" (I want) is common when asking in restaurants, stores, etc. There is no problem here and is not arrogant.
3- Do not leave tip or <15% of the value as tip in restaurants, etc.
Here tip is what you left on table, no obligation and no minimum.
4- Talk to children in streets, you can be confused with pedophiles
Here, ins't so bad, but isn't really nice too. But there people get really angry and you can get a beating.
5- Wrap in line and take a long time to pay.
Yeah, I agree, it's bad in both places, but there you can get a beating if so.
6- Social rule for speed on the ladder.
Let the left to the runners, right to the slow. Here, should be the same. But here people is really loose. And some people really sucks.
7- Toilet paper in the toilet trash is offensive.
Toilets here are not really prepared for this and can get clogged.
8- Drink on the street or beach. You can get a fine. Or jail. Or both.
Not really nice in the street here too, but isn't against the law. But in the beach? Come on....
9- Get drunk in public or public places.
Is bad here too. But there, is really bad, and you can get expelled....
