Moving day is upon us! We're incredibly excited to let the Alvey Community know that we will be moving to our brand new facility just down the road at Darra on February 20th. We've had nearly 45 years of incredible memories at Carole Park, but machines don't last forever, and now we get to produce the world's best reels on shiny new equipment, something that's been long overdue. What does this mean for Alvey orders? We will continue to take orders from alvey.com.au, however, there will be delivery disruptions during our transition period. From Thursday 16th February there will be an approximately 2 week delay in shipments of rods and reels and a 4 to 6 week delay on parts orders. Last day for regular despatch is Wednesday February 15th. So if you had your eye on anything from our online store, now is the time to order at alvey.com.au We thank you all for your patience during this transition period and hope you share in some of our excitement as we look to ramp up production throughout 2023. We think you'll be very excited to hear what we've got in store. Keep an eye out for our emails, and don't forget to follow us on social media for the latest updates. Regards, The Alvey Team

This week we said goodbye to 45 years of memories at Carole Park as we begin making new memories (and of course, the world's best fishing reels) a short cast away at Darra. PROGRESS REPORT The trucks arrived and the move began with the odd tear spotted running down a cheek.. The first image from our new facility at Darra. We are beyond excited to be continuing the tradition of manufacturing in Australia as well as introducing some new modern equipment. We thank you again for your support and patience as we enter the next chapter of the Alvey Reels story. Regards, The Alvey Team

They say is ok, they say isn't ok, they say they're happy, they say they're not happy, they cry, they laugh, they say farewel, they say we are here again. And at the end, the owner and the consumer give a warm hug and look to the raising sun together...simply a novel....

That's what i thought it meant, but had to ask you the ? to confirm from you. Alvey announce they are closing down the factory twice & then announce they are saved again, but as Alvey mentioned it has only happened twice in 103yrs. Here we say it's a 'John Farnham' he was a popular c.1960's to 1980's Australian singer, who kept announcing it's his last concert tour & then makes lot of $$, only to several yrs later re-announces another last tour

We never knows what running back the cloths. Lets just fish and see the sea.

Alvey lost some credibility in my view.

Alvey lost some credibility in my view. Alvey should make some low cost reel for export. Simple 5, 6 or 7 size to export cheap, and make a new market outdoor.
