I fished the Glenelg river estuary yesterday for Mulloway, i was using live Bay Trout (Juvenile Salmon) i caught on location - Live Bay Trout, is one of the best baits for big Mulloway - This Stalk type bird is always hanging about, hoping for a fish from the fishermen - I thrown it a small but legal sized 21cm Bay Trout for it to eat - I casted out two rods, one for Bream / bait gathering & the other was a heavier outfit for Mulloway using the live baits - This tiny Southern Black Bream, was caught & released - I caught a small Southern Black Bream, it was fully formed but tiny - I didn't catch any Mulloway or big Bream, but i enjoyed tranquil natural surroundings of the beautiful Glenelg river estuary -

Here, Mullet are a little oily, but good eating even so. But, so much tricky to fish. I already desisted of them. Big schools ever passing front, but ever no bite.

I fished the Glenelg river yesterday, i first fished the upper section at a place a small town called 'Donovans' the South Australian section of the river - Donovans jetty is a good place to fish & relax - Donovans has great views of the pristine Glenelg river estuary - Later i moved to the lower sections of the estuary for a fish - Yellow Eye Mullet are great fun to catch & test the anglers skill, as hooking them is often difficult - I caught many Bay Trout that i used as live bait for Mulloway, i caught Yellow Eye Mullet - Three nice big Bream to 40cm - It was a nice winters fishing session on the Glenelg river estuary

I fished the Glenelg river Estuary again this evening for a few hours - It was quiet fishing with No bites at the start & later on the bite's started up - My rod buckled over with the 8lbs line screaming off, i hooked a nice 'And Rare' 34.5cm Estuary Perch This is my first Estuary Perch, these fish are excellent light line sport fish & are great fighter + great eating am told - I also caught & released another smaller Estuary Perch 'My Second' Later as the afternoon was becoming night, my rod buckled over again with line screaming off 'Big Bream On' - I hooked a nice 37cm hard fighting Southern Black Bream End of my estuary fishing session, i got a nice Estuary Perch, Big Bream, a Australian Salmon & two Bay Trout for bait - Calm water estuary fishing is relaxing & very enjoyable, catching is a bonus in my opinion

I went for a estuary fishing session yesterday evening on the Glenelg river - Fished with my Daiwa Free Swimmer BR 3000 reels, Gary Howard custom made Estuary 8' rods - This was the first fishing session with my new estuary Daiwa reels & estuary 8' rods - I fished a section called 'The Isle Of Bags' - A couple of anglers launched their traditional 'Putt Putt' estuary fishing boat - These are old school classic style estuary river boats - Classic 'Putt Putt' estuary river boats are still ever popular on the Glenelg river - Even though i burley up the spot, i only managed two smaller Estuary Perch, which i released both 'It was Quiet' -

Beautiful place. That "put put" would make success in Brazilian channels.
