I fished inshore in sheltered protected waters of the Portland harbour today - I fished around the Corkscrew for some Bay Trout 'Juvenile Australian Salmon' for bait - I placed my burley pot out, it didn't take long for the rubbish fish to arrive e.g Port Jackson sharks etc - Soon after quality table fish 'Pinkie Snapper' come on the scene, this 35cm fish was welcomed - Pinkie of this size are great fighters on light line gear - Soon after i caught a nice solid 37cm Pinkie Snapper - I caught a hard fighting 48cm Australian Salmon, Slimy Mackerel, Pinkie's - After getting my bag of Pinkie's, i caught a few more & released them - I had to work hard for many hours to achieve my bag limit catch of 10 Pinkie Snapper, but it was worth the effort - Bag out catch of Ten Pinkie's - Nice to be fishing again..

So close to shore. Here, the coast is shallow, and snappers lives very far, about 35/40 m deep. This is about 30/50 km far from beach sand. Very nice.
